Bethany Kids Club is a free after-school program offered to the community by Bethany Presbyterian Church. Bethany Kids Club seeks to be a safe after-school option that promotes academic achievement, creativity and activity within a positive community atmosphere. With the changes in Beaverton School District’s bell schedule, we seek to come alongside the district and families in our community by providing a free after-school option for our community. Bethany Kids Club will operate from 2-5PM every Wednesday. The program is structured into a simple three hour structure that aims to provide both fun and time for growth.

Program Overview

2-3PM: Group Games/Snack

Our first hour will consist of snack and group games. As kids arrive, a snack will be provided which will be followed by games that the whole club will play together. The snack will consist of a fruit, beverage, and some snack item varying from granola bars, goldfish, etc… If your student has dietary restrictions please mark that down on the application.

3-4PM Activity Rooms:

In the second hour, the club will break off into different activity rooms. We are partnering with local after-school programs to offer activity room options that students can sign-up for. For any student who signs up for the after-school program, we offer a free homework/reading room that students can go to and finish homework or read with our student mentors. If you would like, you may sign up with Young Rembrandts or Bricks 4 Kids separately at their additional program cost. These Programs are not included in the Bethany Kids Club registration.

4-5PM Free Time:
In our final hour, we will have free time available for the kids to do whatever they like. We will keep the homework room open for any kids who would like to finish reading or finish up their homework. The gym will be open for basketball, air hockey, ping pong, etc… Lastly, we will also have the playground available for students to play on.

Additional Activity Room Options:

If you would like to additionally register your child with either Bricks 4 Kids or Young Rembrandts for our activity room hour, you may register with them separately through their individual organization websites. These programs run on a 7-week cycle. At the end of each cycle you may choose to continue with that program, switch programs, or have your child attend our homework/reading room during that hour. Below are the websites of both Bricks 4 Kids and Young Rembrandts, where you may find more information or register.
