Adult Sunday Education

Starting Sunday, January 7, we will be looking into the series "Death and Resurrection of the Messiah: Bringing God's Shalom to a World in Chaos". This will be a ten-part video series with discussions. We will be focusing on different ways of confronting evil, as Jesus did every day, whether that be through loudly proclaiming the name of Jesus or quietly caring for someone in need.

We meet at 9am each Sunday in rooms 1 and 2 of Dickman Hall.  Please feel free to come to one, several, or all ten sessions of this series! We look forward to having you.

Bible studies

We offer various Bible studies geared towards different groups of individuals. For our Bible study options, please do not hesitate to contact the Church.

the well

Wednesday at “The Well”, a dinner fellowship and bible study. Our current book is "Seven Words" by Reverend Susan Robb.

A person's final remarks are often their most intimate and revealing. In this 6-week biblical and historical Lenten study, experience awe-inspiring reflections on Jesus' "seven last words," spoken from the cross. His most vulnerable moment reveals Jesus' deepest love for us, his fullest humanity, and his surest trust in the Father. Books are available in the office $13.00. You can also find it on Ebook.

Dinner is served at 6:00 pm, followed by the study at 6:45 pm. You are welcome to come for all or any part of the evening. We hope to see you there!

Deacons

Deacons provide meals when there is an illness, new baby or other emergencies. We need to update the list of people in the congregation who are willing to provide a meal. The meal is of your own choosing, the person receiving the meal should let the Deacons know if there are food allergies or restrictions. Contact Barb Westley if you would like to be on that list.

handbell
choir

We are a group who loves to make music together playing Bethany’s beautiful Schulmerich handbells. You are invited to join us! No experience playing bells is necessary; some ability to read music is helpful. We hold practices intermittently on Sundays from 11:15 to 12:05 in the Music Rehearsal Room. We hope to play in church every two or three months. We are currently working on pieces to play mid-October and during Advent, and look forward to having ready a specially arranged handbell accompaniment to a piano piece for the spring of 2024.
